Fava Bean Pods そら豆

今年始めてゴーヤを植えました。このゴーヤの種は去年Farmers Marketって買った種を乾燥させ３個のうちの１個が成長したのです。最初は元気がなくてダメだと思ったのですが、今や茄子とキュウリを押しのけるくらいの勢いで一番元気に育っています。

それともうひとつ、同じくFarmers Marketで買ってきたそら豆で一番大きい豆を、プランターに１個だけ入れたものが、育っていました。数は少ないけれど、嬉しいそら豆の収穫です。８粒をチンして食べたのですが、とてもいい味してました。

We planted Bitter Melon and Fava Beans first time at this year. Bitter Melon seeds from Farmers Market, and we saved 3 seeds and succeeded one. At the beginning, we thought these seeds won't make it, but now growing so lively and better than eggplant and cucumber plants. We did not know they grow so much, like an almost Bitter Melon jungle, and surprisingly we had a first Bitter melon harvest, and will come more and more soon. We also planted Fava beans in the planter, and these are growing so good too. We only had 8 Fava beans so far, but very precious harvest. We cooked these 8 pods in microwave. So delicious!
