Kashiwa Mochi
Sakura Mochi
It was a Children's Day Holiday in Japan. It was a Cinco de Mayo, the Mexican Holiday in here. We love Mexican food, but we must have some "Kashiwa-Mochi on this day. One of the sweets traditionally associated Children's Day is Kashiwa Mochi. Mochi filled with Sweet Red Beans an and wrapped in an oak leaf. It is especially eaten on May 5, Children's Day. So we went to get "Kashiwa Mochi" at Mitsuwa market in Torrance area. Actually we had an other reason to be there. So good excuse to get some Japanese Sweets. We had with good green tea. The Best combination. We are crazy about Japanese sweets, especially the red bean stuffs. We wish we have some good Japanese sweets store near by our neighborhood.
いやーん、おいしそう!!!
